Topic for my brit lit research paper? thesis driven?

i need to write a thesis driven research paper for my British literature cl. Im stuck on an idea to write about, I'm not very knowledgeable on Britain at all so im looking for a topic that is easy to one in on, such as a person. This also has to prove how the event or person made an impact on british culture thanks!!
